GALESBURG, Illinois - The Prairie Fire women's basketball team earned an 88-51 win over Blackburn on Tuesday night.
Knox jumped out to a 19-4 lead early in the game and led 22-10 after the first quarter.
The Prairie Fire scored 30 points in the second period to lead 52-25 at halftime.
Knox outscored the Beavers 36-26 in the second half to cruise to victory.
Kylee Callahan led a balanced scoring effort for the Prairie Fire with 15 points on 7-of-11 shooting. Loraya Rocha tallied 14 points, while Sarina Dacio and Nyah Daniels chipped in 12 apiece. Bria Medina added 10 points to give all five Knox starters double digits in scoring.
"This was another great win as we near the beginning of our conference season," said head coach Seth McDowell. "We still have some things to shore up before next Tuesday, but we have one more non-conference game this week to sort some of those things out."
The Prairie Fire return to action on November 25 as they host Eureka.
