GALESBURG, IL - The Prairie Fire women's soccer team dropped a non-conference match to Transylvania University 11-0 Saturday afternoon.
Thr Pioneers came out quick with a goal in the first five minutes of play. Transylvania continued to score throughout the game with an additional 5 goals in the first half and another 5 in the second.
Senior captain, Rosalie Ross, strongly led the Prairie Fire today at center back, while also making her debut at striker.
"We never gave up today, and I'm proud of the hard work the team showed for the entirety of the game" said Head Coach Annie Gerdes. "We are going to take today and use it as a way to continue to learn and grow together."
Knox will return to play on September 19th as they travel to the University of Dubuque.
