DUBUQUE, Iowa - The Prairie Fire women's soccer team lost a non-conference game 8-0 to University of Dubuque on Tuesday night.

The Spartans scored their first goal in the eight minute of the game and led 4-0 at halftime. Dubuque added two scores in the first four minutes of the second half and then two more later in the half to earn the win.

"We're taking each game on at a time and are making progress every game," said head coach Annie Gerdes. "I'm very proud of my players as they continue to work hard despite managing difficult results and are excited with every step of growth."

Knox returns to action on September 23 as they host Coe in their final non-conference match before beginning conference play next week. The Prairie Fire will also honor their seniors for Senior Day.
