Women's Soccer Drops Game at Rose-Hulman

TERRA HAUTE, Indiana - The Prairie Fire women's soccer team dropped a non-conference contest to Rose-Hulman 4-0 on Sunday afternoon.

The Fightin' Engineers scored twice in the first six minutes to take an early lead. Rose-Hulman added two more goals in the first half to head into halftime with a 4-0 advantage.

Carina Escobar racked up 19 saves on the day in goal, including 11 saves in the first half.

"We played two tough opponents this weekend," said head coach Annie Gerdes. "After allowing the goals in the first half, we made some adjustments and came out stronger in the second half. Carina was excellent in goal today to keep the game close."

Knox returns to action on September 6 as they travel to Illinois Wesleyan.
