EUREKA, Illinois - The Prairie Fire baseball team fell to Eureka 11-4 on Tuesday afternoon.
Jeff Ripka got the start on the mound for Knox and gave up no runs and no hits in the first four innings. The Prairie Fire broke through for three runs in the top of the fifth to take the lead. The Red Devils responded with two runs in the fifth, picking up their first hits of the day.

Etienne Thomas and Tyler Kemp racked up two hits apiece for the Prairie Fire. Thomas, Aidan McMurtrie, and Thomas Wilmot each drove in a run.
"We played well for the first five innings today," said associate head coach James Clark. "We need to learn to chip away all game and challenge hitters on the mound. We are very close to putting it all together."
Knox will return to action on March 14 as they open up their Florida trip against University of Maine - Presque Isle.
