GALESBURG, Ill. — The Knox College athletics department today revealed its Male and Female Athletes of the Week for events that occurred between Nov. 10-16, with the honors going to sophomore Noah Campbell of the men's basketball team and senior Kylee Callahan of the women's basketball squad.

A transfer from McHenry County College, Campbell has made a big impact in his first four games, but none more so than the 72-69 victory over Eureka last Tuesday. The 5-10 point guard from Villa Park, Illinois, produced 15 points and seven rebounds, plus drilled the game-winning 3-pointer with 1.4 seconds to play, breaking a 69-all deadlock. Campbell is second on the Prairie Fire with 12.5 points per game and leads the team with 3.5 assists per game as Knox is off to its best four-game start in 22 years.

Callahan, a native of Tucson, Arizona, was instrumental in the first victory of the season for the women's team, a 93-80 decision at Benedictine University, registering her third double-double of the season already with season highs of 25 points and 12 rebounds. The 5-8 guard connected on 11-of-17 field goals and all three free throws, plus dished out five assists to extend her Prairie Fire career record — which she set in the second game this season — to 284 helpers. Callahan also ranks fifth in the Knox all-time annals with 1,081 points.

The Knox Athletes of the Week will be announced every Tuesday afternoon throughout the athletic calendar.
