JACKSONVILLE, Ill. — A third-place finish in the men's 4x200 meter race, and a pair of individual fourth-place finishes highlighted the day for the Knox College men's and women's track and field teams at the Jim Green Invitational hosted by Illinois College.

First-years Jayvon Bolds and Chrisangel Djambazian, along with seniors Eusebio King-Mills and Jacob Anderson comprised the Prairie Fire's 4x200 meter relay team, and they completed the race in 1:37.63, behind only the host Blue Boys and Columbia College.

In the men's mile run, junior Lance Miller crossed the tape in fourth place with a time of 4:29.56, about four seconds off the pace.

In the field events, sophomore Stephanie Nelson improved her best weight throw of her career on her sixth and final attempt by a full two feet, nearly breaking the school record in the process. Her distance of 14.16 meters (46 feet 5.5 inches) garnered her fourth place, little more than five inches behind the top throw.

Senior Anthony Vazquez also posted a personal record, leaping 13.11 meters (43 feet 0.25 inches) in the triple jump, which left him fifth overall. He also climbed up the Knox top-10 list from sixth to fourth, improving by 9.25 inches.

One other notable PR that was set today came from junior Stevan Dzolic, who posted the best weight throw of his career at 14.25 meters (46 feet 9 inches) to place eighth.

Knox will compete in the Roger Haynes Invitational at Monmouth College next Saturday Feb. 15.
