GALESBURG, Ill. ­— Knox College Men's Soccer Head Coach Tyler Sheikh announced the schedule for his Prairie Fire team this fall today, featuring 8 regional games and eight more within the Midwest Conference.

Knox will get warmed up with a pair of scrimmages before opening the season on a four-game home stand, beginning with a battle against North Central College on Aug. 29. Other schools that will invade Jorge Prats Field in that stretch will be Illinois Wesleyan, Augustana and Dominican University. The non-conference portion of the schedule will also feature a three-game road trip followed by a home showdown with Simpson College on Sept. 23.

To begin Midwest Conference play, the Prairie Fire will be thrown into the fire as they travel to the defending league champion, Lake Forest College, on Sept. 27. The home league matchups consist of Illinois College (Oct. 1), Monmouth College (Oct. 7), Lawrence University (Oct. 18) and the regular-season finale against Grinnell (Nov. 1). 

Should Knox finish the season in the top four in the league standings, it will advance to the Midwest Conference Tournament, hosted by the regular-season champion, on Nov. 7-8.
