GRINNELL, IOWA – At Saturday's Grinnell Invitational, Lance Miller wrote another chapter in his incredible career.
In the 3000 meters, Miller set a new personal best and broke his own school record. He won the race in 8:38.40. Miller's time earned the event win and gave the Knox men their 10 points on the day.
On the women's side, Stephanie Nelson contributed with a sixth-place finish in the weight throw, reaching 13.63 meters, and also placed 14th in the shot put.
Continuing strong performances, Elsie Conwell set a personal record in the 800m with a 2:30.81 finish for ninth overall and added a 14th-place result in the mile at 5:43.37.
Another first-year standout, Delylah Briscoe, posted a PR of 28.68 in the 200 to claim 12th, and also took 12th in the high jump with a 1.4-meter leap.
The Knox College indoor track and field team's next action is set for February 7 at Illinois College in the Jim Green Invitational.
