It was a great way to end the season as the Knox track and field program showed out in their final meet of the season.

In the Augustana Twilight on Wednesday and Thursday, the Prairie Fire capped the 2026 season in a big way.

Senior Lance Miller made his final run memorable, setting a school record in the 1500. Miller covered the track in 3:51.77, finishing 12th overall.

Also, putting her name in the school record book was first-year Elsie Conwell. Conwell capped her breakout season by running a personal best in the 3000-meter steeplechase. Conwell finished 18th overall, running the third-fastest time in program history, a 12:05.27.

Ryan Lautzenhiser also ran a new personal best in his signature event, the 400 meters. Lautzenhiser was 31st overall, running a 50.62.

Among the field events, Knox's top finisher of the meet was Stephanie Nelson. Participating in the hammer throw, Nelson finished seventh overall with a best toss of 46.98, less than a meter off her personal best.

Rounding out the top performances, Elle Haddon added another Knox top-10 finish, placing ninth in the women's javelin with a best effort of 33.76 meters.
