GALESBURG, Ill. — Knox College has selected juniors Bria Medina and Josh Stewart as its Student Athletes of the Week.

In Knox's 74-44 win over Lake Forest, Medina, a 5-6 guard from Tucson, Arizona, nearly posted a triple-double, tallying 23 points, eight rebounds, and eight assists in 31 minutes. Medina went 8-17 from the floor.

In his first game of the new year, Stewart, a 6-3 guard from New Zealand, nearly recorded a double-double at Lake Forest. The accounting and finance double major scored seven points and grabbed eight rebounds in the loss. The eight boards led the Prairie Fire. 

Both the Knox College men's and women's basketball teams are in action on Wednesday, visiting Beloit College. The men play at 5 p.m., with the women to follow. Both teams return to Galesburg on January 13 to host Cornell.

The Knox athletics department will announce Athletes of the Week every Tuesday throughout the athletic calendar.
