GALESBURG, IL - Memorial Gymnasium played host to the Midwest Conference matchup between the Beloit Buccaneers and the Knox Prairie Fire, and the exceptional match was truly a spectacle to witness.

Knox Volleyball had their "Fire Game" take place on the same night as their Senior Night and despite the match not going their way, it was an unbelievable night of volleyball at Knox.
Â
The packed gym was an electric scene as the crowd roared for every Prairie Fire point.Â
Â
The Buccaneers were able to take the conference match in three sets, but Knox did not make it easy. The third set had to go to the 30th point before Beloit was able to escape Memorial Gymnasium with a victory over the Prairie Fire.
Â
Knox recognized their three seniors, Elle Haddon, Lydia Karli, and Mayra Diaz on their Senior Night. Those three have done unforgettable work for the Knox volleyball program, and their efforts on and off the court have not gone unnoticed
Â
Rebeca Hernandez-Rivera had a tremendous night between the lines for the Prairie Fire, as she led the squad with 13 digs. Zoe Thunhurst also led Knox in kills as she was dominant at the net.
Â
The Prairie Fire will be back in action on Saturday, Oct. 17 at 1:00 p.m. when they take on Lake Forest in Knox's final home regular season game of the campaign.
