The decisive score came midway through the third quarter when Lawrence capped an 80-yard drive with a one-yard touchdown run, taking a 14-7 lead. The Prairie Fire defense kept Knox within striking distance throughout the second half, forcing a turnover on a fourth-quarter interception by
Jalen Brown setting up Knox for one final push. Rhetta's 4th down and 7 yard scramble came up just short and allowed Lawrence to run out the clock.
Offensively,

Mario Byrd added four receptions for 66 yards. Defensively,
Aaron Estes posted a game-high 16 tackles and a sack assist,
Jalen Brown added 13 tackles and an interception, and

While the result did not go Knox's way, the Prairie Fire competed in front of one of the largest crowds of the season as alumni, former student-athletes, and friends of the College returned to campus to celebrate Homecoming and honor the newest members of the Knox Athletics Hall of Fame.
