APPLETON, Wis. – The Knox College women's basketball team wrapped the regular season on Saturday, falling at Lawrence 71-47. The Prairie Fire do not have to wait long for a rematch as they draw the Vikings next Friday in the Midwest Conference Tournament semifinals at 7 p.m. at Ripon.
Lawrence used a tenacious defense to hold Knox (13-12 overall, 11 in the MWC) to its lowest point total this season. Knox went 14-52 (26.9 percent) from the field against the Vikings, struggling to maintain a consistent offense.
