Last week was a record-setting week for a pair of Knox College student-athletes. For their efforts, the duo was named Knox College Athletes of the Week.

On the basketball court, women's basketball player Bria Medina stole the show, breaking the Prairie Fire women's program all-time scoring record after scoring a personal career-high 40 points on Wednesday. In Saturday's win over SLIAC-leading Webster, Medina broke the school's career scoring record, tallying 27 points for 1389 career points.

For those accomplishments, and more, Medina was also named the Midwest Conference's Women's Basketball Player of the Week.

Not to be outdone, Knox College athlete Lance Miller also made a bit of history over the weekend. Miller, a senior, set a new Knox College indoor track record, running the 3000 meters in 8:38.40, capturing the title at the Grinnell Invitational.

Miller now has the third-fastest time in the Midwest Conference this season, in both the 800 and 3000.
