The Knox College track and field team delivered an outstanding performance at the Augustana College Meet of Champions, making impressive additions to the program's record book and proudly showcasing their talent.

Building on this success, Lance Miller had a big day for the Prairie Fire, winning the men's 1500. Miller easily took the race, finishing in 4:03.17, just five seconds behind his school-record time. 

Also starring was Stephanie Nelson. In the women's discus, Nelson had a best toss of 40.27 meters (132-01 feet). The effort was good for eighth at the meet, but also served as a new personal best for Nelson. Her toss also ranks third-best in program history.

Also placing in the top 10 was the men's 4x400 relay team of Ryan Lautzenhiser, Miller, Deangelo Willis, and Kneko Vasquez, whose time of 3:39.88 was a season best and ranked 10th at the meet.

Buoyed by their accomplishments, Knox looks ahead to more success Thursday at the Monmouth Twilight Special.
