Prairie Fire Handle Principia

GALESBURG, IL - In a tri-match at Knox, Memorial Gymnasium hosted Rockford and Principia, and despite taking the first set against Rockford the Prairie Fire lost before taking down Principia in three sets.

 

Elle Haddon and Zoe Thunhurst had an impressive day on the court as they led the Prairie Fire in kills and assists in both games, respectively.

 

Knox took down Rockford in the first set, the only set they lost all day, 25-19. Anaya President led Knox with 12 digs in the match against the Regents.

 

In their second match of the day, against Principia, Knox won in straight sets, 25-13, 25-18, and 25-14.

 

President had another great game with double digit digs and Thunhurst also had double digit assists, along with Kayleigh Jones.

 

Knox posted their highest hitting percentage in the third set against Principia when they racked up a .308 percentage.

 

The win over Principia is the Prairie Fire's third of the season and they will return to the court on Tuesday night in Carlinville, Ill. when they take on Blackburn.
