Knox Goalkeepers Tally Double-Digit Saves

GALESBURG, IL - In search of a win, the Prairie Fire hosted Webster on a hot Saturday morning, and the Gorloks were able to take care of Knox on their way to a 5-0 victory at Jorge Prats Field.

Asia Ling got the ball rolling in the contest with the first shot on goal, in the first minute. Webster was able to make a save to end the push. Shortly after, Reagan Toney got a shot on goal of her own, but again Webster was up for the test.

The Gorloks broke the tie in the 13th minute and then tacked on another goal in the 27th.

Following halftime, Webster's offense kept pushing as they tacked on a trio of goals to put Knox down by five.

Darby Wallig made four saves throughout her time in net before Bri Mahoney faced a barrage of shots from the Gorloks, saving all seven.

Aniela Rossi put a pair of shots on goal in the match.

Knox was unable to get a shot past the Gorloks' goalkeeper as they fell by a score of 5-0.

Toney was a pest against the Gorloks all day in the middle of the field, playing physical and forcing a handful of arrant passes.

The Knox athletic training staff had their hands full on the scolding hot day in Galesburg, and they did a tremendous job keeping all the student-athletes and officials healthy.

Knox gets another chance to pick up their first win of the season, on Sunday at 2 p.m. when they take on Franklin on the road.
