Second Team All Midwest Conference … MWC Player of the Week December 1 … Nidez Acuña led the league in field goal percentage (51.3 percent), was third in minutes (788), defensive rebounds (133), and defensive rebounds per game (5.3). Saw action in every game as a rookie, starting all but one of the 25 games … finished the season 11th in the league in scoring (12.4 ppg), eighth in rebounding (team-high 6.8 rpg) and blocked shots (team-high 22), and fourth in free throw percentage (.757) … led the team in field goal percentage (.457, minimum 20 attempts) … her 311 total points are the second-most by any first-year player in program history, behind only teammate Bria Medina … began her collegiate career with double-doubles in each game of the Loras Tip-Off Classic, scoring 21 points with 12 boards versus the host and 18 points and 11 rebounds against Coe College, earning
Knox Female Athlete of the Week honors for her performance … had two more double-doubles during the season, producing 20 points and 12 rebounds in the 85-77 win over Aurora and 16 points and 12 boards (and a season-high four blocks … in an 81-53 victory over rival Monmouth … topped 20 points four times, including a season-high 26 on 11-of-16 field goals to help defeat Illinois College, 84-69 … was named the MWC Performer of the Week after that performance … scored in double figures 14 times … filled the stat sheet with 21 points, eight rebounds, a season-high five assists, three blocks and two steals in the 101-70 victory at Eureka … hit all eight of her free throw attempts at Grinnell.
