Knox College Prairie Fire

Kate Worthy was hired as the volleyball assistant coach in June of 2025. She had been the head club volleyball coach for the Elevate Volleyball Club in Bourbonnais, Illinois, since December of 2023. She oversaw all aspects of the club team, developing the on-court skills and mental preparedness of the players as well as mentoring them on strength training and proper nutrition.

A native of Oak Lawn, Illinois, Worthy attended Olivet Nazarene University and was a defensive specialist and libero for the volleyball team for the past three years, serving as the captain for 2024-25 campaign.

“I’m incredibly excited to be joining the Knox College volleyball program as an assistant coach,” Worthy said. “It’s an honor to be part of a team that values growth, grit and connection. I’m looking forward to supporting these student-athletes and being part of their journey both on and off the court.”
