Galesburg, IL - Grinnell College stayed perfect on the season with an 85-68 win over the Prairie Fire Wednesday night at Memorial Gym.
The Pioneers (7-0, 3-0 MWC) led 43-42 at halftime, then opened up a double-digit advantage at 59-48 with 14:50 to play on the heels of a 16-6 run. Grinnell extended the lead to 81-60 with 5:59 left in the game.
Knox held the Pioneers to 38 percent shooting in the game and under 100 points for the first time this season. The Prairie Fire (0-4, 0-3 MWC) shot 52 percent in the first half but cooled off to 39 percent in the second half and finished at 46 percent.
The Pioneers connected on 13 3-point baskets to just one for Knox and forced 26 turnovers while committing 10.

Lukas Shaw (Portland, OR, U.S. Grant), who had a game-high 27 points. Senior
Joe Kozak (Park Ridge, IL, Maine South) had a double-double with 12 points and 12 rebounds. Griffin Lentsch and Jesse Ney each scored 21 points to lead Grinnell.
