Galesburg, IL – The Prairie Fire will try to notch another Midwest Conference win at home on Saturday against Lawrence University.

Knox (5-9, 3-6 MWC) defeated the Vikings (1-13, 0-9 MWC) 90-79 on December 1 in Appleton, Wisconsin and goes for the season sweep.  Lawrence enters Saturday’s contest against the Prairie Fire on a nine-game losing streak while Knox tries to rebound from an 89-77 MWC loss against Carroll University at home on January 12.

The Vikings’ only victory so far this season was a 75-57 win against Northland University at home on December 6.  LU, winless in six road games this season, is coming off of a 56-38 loss against Ripon College at home on January 15.

Knox and Lawrence split their two games last season.  The Vikings won on their home floor 81-77 on December 13, 2011.  The Prairie Fire took the second game in convincing fashion 98-80 on January 20, 2012 at Memorial Gymnasium.
