Galesburg, IL – Lawrence University defeated the Prairie Fire 3-1 in a Midwest Conference match on Sunday at Jorge Prats Field.
The Vikings (2-4-0, 1-2 MWC) snapped a string of three straight losses. Keli Muchowski was the main offensive threat for Lawrence, scoring all three of her team's goals.
The Vikings, who ended a string of three straight shutout losses, took a 1-0 lead on the first goal by Muchowski 20:18 into the contest.
The score remained 1-0 until Muchowski added her second goal at the 50:39 mark.
Knox (5-4-0, 0-2 MWC) cut the Lawrence lead in half on the first goal of the season by senior

The Vikings extended the lead to 3-1 a little over six minutes later, resulting in a second straight setback for the Prairie Fire.
