Men's Tennis Drops Home Opener

GALESBURG, Illinois—The Prairie Fire men's tennis team fell in their home opener on Saturday.

Knox (0-6) lost to Judson University 0-9 in the morning match and lost to Univeristy of Dubuque 1-8 in the late match.

Ashwin Kushwaha and Rohail Khan played a close match in number one doubles, falling 5-8 to the team from Judson.

In the nightcap with Dubuque, the Prairie Fire played some very close matches. Jeffrey Xue defeated Zebulon Hill in number five singles for Knox's only win. Minh Le fell in number two singles 4-6, 6-1, 10-4. Ganesh Uppalapu dropped the number six singles match 6-8. Ashwin Kushwaha and Rohail Khan lost in number one singles 5-8 with Brandon Alaniz and Charlie Harned doing the same in number three singles.

The Prairie Fire will return to action with more home matches on February 27 against Greenville and St. Ambrose.
