MOLINE, Illinois—The Prairie Fire men's tennis team kicked off their season on Saturday afternoon.

Knox (0-2) dropped both matches on the day falling to North Central 0-9 and Simpson 1-8.

The Prairie Fire had some hard fought sets throughout the day with Ganesh Uppalapu earning the only match win with 6-3, 6-4 sets against Simpson in the number six singles spot. Number one singles player Ashwin Kushwaha dropped sets 2-6, 4-6 against North Central and 1-6, 3-6 against Simpson. Number two Minh Lee dropped sets 2-6, 3-6 against North Central with number three Rohail Khan falling 2-6, 2-6. Jeff Xue dropped sets 3-6, 3-6 against Simpson. Khan and Le also fought hard in their doubles match against Simpson but ended up losing 6-8.

Knox will travel to Pella Iowa on February 13 to take on Morningside and Central with matches beginning at 12:00 p.m.
