GALESBURG, Illinois - The Prairie Fire men's tennis team dropped a match to Monmouth 9-0 on Tuesday afternoon.
Knox (1-13, 1-4 MWC) had some nail biters at #5 and #6 singles and #3 doubles, but could not get over the hump.
Mahmood Ali Khan (Swat, Pakistan, Aitchison College) played a tough match with his counterpart from Monmouth, but came up on the short end of a 2-6, 5-7 decision.
Swarup Behera (Bhubaneswar, India, Shastri Smarak Secondary School) also played to a close 3-6, 4-6 loss. The two then paired up to fall 5-8 in their doubles match.
The Prairie Fire return to action on April 18 when they travel to Illinois College.
