GALESBURG, Illinois—The Prairie Fire men's tennis team earned their first victory of the season while splitting a conference doubleheader.

Knox (1-10, 1-1 MWC) defeated Ripon 6-3 in the morning match before falling to Lake Forest 9-0 in the second match.

Jared Schwarz (Glen Ellyn, IL, Glenbard South), Ganesh Uppalapu (Glen Ellyn, IL, Glenbard South), Jeffrey Xue (Peoria, IL, Lake Forest Academy), and Mahmood Ali Khan (Swat, Pakistan, Aitchison College) earned singles victories. Minh Le (Hanoi, Vietnam, Yen Hoa School) teamed up with Schwarz to defeat their doubles opponents. Swarup Behera (Bhubaneswar, India, Shastri Smarak Secondary School) and Xue also earned a doubles win.

The Prairie Fire return to action at Illinois College on April 5.
