GALESBURG, Illinois - Superb first and second sets from the Prairie Fire are what led them to a convincing win over Rockford University. Knox (7-7) won the first set handily by a score of 25-16, and took the second set even quicker with a score of 25-13. The final set was a battle with a multitude of lead changes and many big plays. However the Fire came out on top 25-23 to win the match 3-0.

The Fire were overall dominant in the match, defeating the Regents in every category including aces (11-3) and kills (30-17). Rose Griffin had a big night as she recorded 12 kills to move into 3
rd on the Knox all-time list in career kills (993). Emily Mosher facilitated much of the scoring with 19 assists and Mady Ferris held down the defense with 19 digs.

Knox has now reeled off an impressive five wins in a row and will look to continue their hot streak when they head to Iowa Wesleyan on September 21.
