Box Score FULTON, Missouri—The Prairie Fire men's soccer claimed victory over Rose-Hulman 2-0 on Friday night.
Knox (1-0) and the Fighting Engineers played a scoreless first half, but the Prairie Fire struck early in the second half when Jun Min found the back of the net. Lucas Sanchez sealed the victory with a goal in the 89
th minute. He was assisted by Gavin Douglas.
The game was close throughout with both teams managing just seven shots each. Justin Dunn notched three saves to earn the victory in goal.
"Sean has one of the more disciplined college teams I've seen," said head coach Tyler Sheikh. "They all played for one another and are true footballers. I really enjoyed watching our guys battle the class of the HCAC. They were as advertised.The game could've gone either way and goals are tough to come by so we can be pleased with the second half effort."
Knox will face Westminster tomorrow night in another tough road matchup before traveling to the University of Chicago on Monday.
