GALESBURG, Illinois—The Prairie Fire volleyball team earned a split in their home doubleheader between MacMurray College and Robert Morris University Springfield.

After narrowly dropping the first set against the Highlanders, Knox came back and won the second set 25-22. However the next two sets found Knox on the short end and the game was decided 3-1. Rose Griffin had another quality game with 19 kills, with Jeanette Peebles closely behind with 13. Emily Mosher had an outstanding 50 assists in the match, while Mady Ferris and Kyleigh Guthals added 33 and 27 digs respectively.

In the second match Knox was not playing around, they quickly stomped out the Eagles 25-13, 25-17, and 25-9. Rose Griffin added 12 more kills, and Kaitlyn Haase tallied 21 assists. Mady Ferris also added another 24 digs in the match.

Knox improves to 9-8 overall, and 7-1 at home. They will look to keep winning when they open conference at home on September 27 when they take on Illinois College.
