Three Women Named to United Soccer Coaches All-Region Team

KANSAS CITY, Missouri—The Prairie Fire women's soccer team placed three players on the United Soccer Coaches All-North Region Team. Goal keeper Sierra Daniger and midfielder Jenna Milligan were both named to the second team, while midfielder Yvette Rodriguez earned third team honors. Daniger and Rodriguez make their third consecutive appearances on the All- North Region Team.

Daniger was the Midwest Conference's Defensive Player of the Year as she posted a .77 GAA and .820 save percentage with a league-best four shutouts.

Milligan, made her second All-Conference First Team as she helped a defense that allowed a league low 18 goals with a goals-against average (GAA) of .90. The Prairie Fire were even better in conference play as they allowed just seven goals and had a .77 GAA
 
Rodriguez rounds out the Prairie Fire's selections as she contributed nine points on two goals and five assists. She was also a first team all-MWC selection.

"I am super proud of these ladies. All three had outstanding years and are well deserving of this," said head coach Chris Haught-Thompson. "I'm glad their efforts have been recognized by the coaches in the region."

Knox won their third straight Midwest Conference regular season title and won their third consecutive MWC Tournament Championship and NCAA Tournament appearance.
