GALESBURG, Illinois—The Prairie Fire men's tennis team opened up their season with a pair of losses on Saturday.

Knox (0-2) fell to Aurora 6-3 in the first match and then to Simpson 9-0 later in the day.

Ganesh Uppalapu defeated his singles opponent from Aurora 6-3, 7-5. He also teamed up with Jeffrey Xue to win their doubles match 8-5 against their Spartans counterparts. Brad Newland and Matt Bailey also won their debut doubles match 8-6 over their opponent from Aurora.

The Prairie Fire will travel to Principia on February 10.
