MOUNT PLEASANT, Iowa—The Prairie Fire volleyball team earned a 3-1 victory over Iowa Wesleyan on Wednesday night.
Knox earned a 25-23 in the first set before falling 20-25 in the second set, but rebounded to win the final two sets 25-22 and 25-19 to earn the win.
Catessa Duran filled up the stat sheet with 16 kills, three solo blocks, and three block assists. Mady Ferris racked up 29 digs and Kylie Wolf added 22 assists.
The Prairie Fire finished with 38 total kills and nine blocks. The Tigers earned 41 total kills, but only tallied 15 in the final two sets.
"We're getting better at seeing our strengths and weaknesses during a match and making some solid adjustments," said head coach Pat Barry. "We were able to outlast IW tonight, so credit to our women for how hard they've been working."
Knox heads to Minnesota on Friday and Saturday to face Hamline, UW-River Falls, Macalester, and St. Olaf.
