ST. PAUL, Minnesota—The Prairie Fire volleyball team dropped a pair of matches at the Macalester Tournament on Friday.
Knox fell to Hamline 0-3 (14-25, 19-25, 12-25) in the first match and 1-3 to Wisconsin-River Falls (6-25, 21-25, 25-22, 13-25).
Catessa Duran, Autumn Schneider, and Thao Long each racked up 10 kills on the day. Duran also added three blocks. Mady Ferris picked up 28 digs to lead the Prairie Fire. Kylie Wolf also finished with 29 assists.
"We faced some really good competition today," said head coach Pat Barry. "We had spurts where we played with both teams, but could not quite string together our runs."
The Prairie Fire will return to action on Saturday with another two matches against Macalester and St. Olaf.
