ST. PAUL, Minnesota—The Prairie Fire volleyball team dropped a pair of matches at the Macalester Tournament on Saturday.
Knox fell to Macalester 0-3 (22-25, 18-25, 22-25) in the first match and 0-3 to St. Olaf (12-25, 12-25, 14-25).
Catessa Duran racked up 19 kills on the day to lead the Prairie Fire. Duran also added two blocks. Kylie Wolf also finished with 24 assists and Thao Luong added 12 kills.
"The teams we faced in this tournament were all very good," said head coach Pat Barry. "We are certainly capable of competing with teams of this caliber and we will get back to work this week to keep on improving."
The Prairie Fire will return to action on September 10 as they host Eureka for the first home game of the season.
