DUBUQUE, Iowa - The Prairie Fire swimming and diving teams competed at Loras on Saturday.
Joe Pederson placed first in the men's 200 free with a time of 2:08.30.
"We had some good swims today," said head coach Jonathan Powers. "Joe swam a.much smarter 200 free than he did last week. Much better paced. A lot of swimmers tried new events which was good to see."
Rachel Schonfeld earned a second place finish in the women's 100 back (1:09.77). She also finished in second place in the 100 breast (1:24.86).
"I'm really pleased with our distance swimmers who each dropped more than 10 seconds in the 500 from what they did last week despite the fact that we were tired," added Powers.
The swimming and diving teams return to action as they travel to Illinois College on October 30.
