GRINNELL, Iowa - The Prairie Fire swimming and diving teams competed at the Pioneer Classic on Friday and Saturday.

'I wasn't expecting very much because we took a bit more time off for finals and Thanksgiving than we normally do but they impressed me," said head coach Jonathan Powers. "We sprinted very well and had a number.of season best times."

Chloe Rodeffer dropped 16 seconds in her 500 free (7:14.67).

"I am particularly proud of Eric Xu and Ren Herzog who both swam in their first college meet and Chloe Rodeffer for her performance in the 500 free," added Powers.

The women's team scored points in the 200 free relay, the 200 medley relay, the 400 free relay, and the 400 medley relay.

Knox returns to action on December 10 as they travel to Illinois College.
