JACKSONVILLE, Illinois - The Prairie Fire track and field teams competed at the Snow Bird Invite at Illinois College on Saturday.
The women's 4x200m relay team of Allie Dockins, Peyton Balfour, Tara Irani, and Ainara Rivera placed first with a time of 2:04.33.
Irani also earned third place in the women's 55m hurdles (:11.23).
Balfour placed fourth in the women's triple jump with a mark of 9.38m to join the top-10 list at Knox.
Meredith Lepper also joined the Knox top-10 in the pole vault by clearing 2.65m.
Autumn Crow picked up a second place finish in the women's mile run (5:59.16).
Charles Broomfield placed first in the men's shot put with a heave of 14.42m, good for fifth on the Knox top-10 list. He also placed second in the weight throw (15.87m).
Kendall Ballman also picked up a first place performance in the men's long jump (6.75m) and a second place performance in the triple jump (12.30m).
Tyrell Pierce earned first place in the men's 400m with a time of :51.60.
Derrick Jackson placed second in the men's 55m (:06.46) to lower his own Knox record in the event.
"It was great to see the team continue to perform well, win some events, break some records, and improve on top-10 performances," said head coach Evander Wells.
Knox returns to action on February 5 with a return trip to Illinois College.
