MONMOUTH, Illinois - The Prairie Fire swimming and diving teams opened up their season at Monmouth on Saturday.

Chloe Rodeffer placed second in the women's 50 free with a time of :33.11. She also took home second place in the 100 free (1:16.02).

Emmalene Onaga finished in second place in the women's 100 back with a time of 1:35.87.

Kiely Thompson placed second in the women's 100 breast with a time of 1:27.39.

Owen Griffin earned a second place finish in the men's 50 free (:29.70.) He also placed second in the 100 free (1:08.86).

Ezren Herzog finished in second place in the men's 100 breast with a time of 1:34.83.

"It was great to get out and compete," said head coach Kim Schrader. "We had some good times for the first time out and we will look to continue getting better as the season progresses."

Knox returns to action as they travel to Illinois College on October 29.
