ROCK ISLAND, Illinois - The Prairie Fire volleyball team lost to Augustana 3-2 on Thursday evening.

Knox took the first two sets 25-21, 25-21, but dropped the last three 13-25, 19-25, 8-15.

Catessa Duran led Knox with 19 kills for a .176 attack percentage. Katie Anderson racks up 34 assists and 21 digs and Emme Patton adds 13 digs. Abbie Layne tacked on eight kills and Autumn Rapp contributed six kills.

"We played like we're capable of for the first two sets," said head coach Pat Barry. "We just never got it going in the final three sets. We know we can be better than this and just need to be more consistent..

The Prairie Fire return to action at the University of Dubuque on September 3 as they face Dubuque and North Central.
