Box Score GALESBURG, Illinois - The Prairie Fire men's soccer team dropped their season and home opener to Dominican on Thursday afternoon.

Alex White put Knox on the board early when he found the back of the net just seven minutes into the contest.

The Stars tied the game just before halftime and then scored twice in the second half to seal the victory.

Dominican outshot the Prairie Fire 12-5 overall, but held just a 6-5 edge in shots on goal.

"We let our emotions control the second half," said head coach Kevwe Akpore. "We had a few things go against us and we didn't handle it well. That is something we can work on, when we're disciplined we are tough to beat."

Knox will look to get back on track as they host the University of Dubuque on September 2.
