Swimming and Diving Competes at Monmouth

MONMOUTH, Illinois - The Prairie Fire swimming and diving teams competed at Monmouth College on Friday night.

The men's 200 medley relay team of Richie Ogura, Frederick Ryan, Joe Pederson, and Eita Ueda finished first with a time of 2:03.04.

Etienne Thomas placed fourth in the men's 50 free with a time of 24.52.

Ueda and Ogura earned third and fourth place finishes in the men's 100 free with times of 1:02.23 and 1:02.31, respectively.

Taylor Scamman placed second in the women's 50 free with a time of 26.20. She also placed second (59.49) in the 100 free.

Kiely Thompson also picked up a fourth place finish (32.07) in the women's 50 free. Thomson also placed fourth in the women's 100 back with a time of 1:27.72 and fourth in the 100 breast with a time of 1:26.09.

Rachel Schonfeld earned a second place finish in the women's 100 back (1:09.19).

"We had a lot of good times in our first meet back from break," said head coach Kim Schrader. "We faced some tough competition today and still came away with some great finishes."

Knox returns to action on January 20 at Principia.
