Box Score APPLETON, Wisconsin - The Prairie Fire men's soccer team played to a 1-1 tie with Lawrence on Saturday evening.
The teams played to a scoreless tie through one half, but Knox broke the tie early in the second half when Tamar Thomas streaked down the middle of the field and hit a missile into the bottom right corner of the net.
The Vikings later tied the game and held strong on defense to force the draw.
"We played well in streaks, but really let Lawrence get some momentum at the wrong times," said head coach Kevwe Akpore. "We have work to do in the next week to finish the season the way we want to. We'll be back out there tomorrow."
The Prairie Fire return to action on October 22 as they travel to Cornell to complete a previously suspended game from earlier this month.
