APPLETON, Wis. ­— In a post on X, Lawrence University announced that its scheduled home football game against Knox College this Saturday has been canceled due to injuries among members of the Vikings' team. Lawrence is erring on the side of caution out of respect for its student-athletes' well-being.

Knox Vice President and Director of Athletics Justin Newell said, "While we are disappointed that the game cannot be played, we respect and acknowledge the difficult decision that has been made and believe that the health and safety of all student-athletes come first."

The Prairie Fire will next host Cornell College at Stisser Field at the Knosher Bowl on Saturday, Nov. 1 at 1 p.m. The game will be streamed live with live stats also available through PrairieFire.Knox.edu, the official website of Knox College Athletics.
