GRINNELL, Iowa — The Midwest Conference announced its individual award winners and all-conference teams for men's basketball this afternoon, and Knox senior Sean Gallery was among those on the All-Midwest Conference Second Team for the second straight year.

Gallery, a 6-4 guard from Park Ridge, Illinois, was the Prairie Fire's leading scorer and sixth in the league at 17.4 points per game, topping 20 points 11 times in his 24 games during the campaign. He ranked fourth in the conference in free throw percentage (.769) while being among the top 15 in all of Division III in free throws made (140, 12th). And the product of Maine South High School was also 13th in the MWC in assists, dishing out 2.4 per contest.

For his career, Gallery will leave Knox as its sixth-leading scorer (1,309 points) and eighth-leading rebounder (511), becoming just the sixth player in program history to top 1,300 points and 500 rebounds. He was also the first Prairie Fire player to surpass 500 rebounds in 27 years.

  • This is the fifth consecutive year Knox has had one player make the second team (not including the COVID season of 2020-21).
  • Monmouth's Zay Brown was named both the Player of the Year and the Newcomer of the Year.
  • Todd Skrivset of Monmouth garnered Coach of the Year honors after leading the Fighting Scots to the regular-season title.
  • Lawrence University received the Team Sportsmanship Award.
  • Grinnell was the only team to have two players make the first team.
