Memorial Gym Roars for Knox Volleyball

GALESBURG, IL - The Prairie Fire hosted a pair of Midwest Conference matchups at Knox College and the crowd was lively as the Prairie Fire unfortunately dropped games to Luther and Cornell.

Plenty of fellow student-athletes packed Memorial Gymnasium on Friday night, sparking some life behind the Prairie Fire volleyball squad. Every point scored for Knox was followed by a loud eruption of cheers.

The enthusiastic crowd created an incredible environment for the Midwest Conference match between the Prairie Fire and the Norse.

De'Mya Robinson put together a nice night on the court for Knox as a few of her kills made the crowd go crazy. Anaya President led the team with 13 digs against Luther, and Zoe Thunhurst and Mayra Diaz trailed shortly behind President in digs.

Knox was unable to finish their sets as they lost in straight sets, 25-23, 25-20, and 25-20.

On Saturday afternoon, Cornell was too much to handle for Knox as they also took down the Prairie Fire in straight sets.

Again, Thunhurst did her thing against the Rams, racking up double digit digs for the sixth time this season.

The pair of losses dropped the Prairie Fire to 3-14 (0-2 MWC), and they will return to the court on Friday night at Grinnell at 7:00 p.m.
