Knox Takes Down Panthers

ELSAH, IL - In a pair of games at Principia College the Prairie Fire swept Principia before dropping a four set match to Lyon.

 

The Prairie Fire took care of business in their first contest of the day as they beat Principia with scores of 25-14, 25-13, and 25-19.

 

Knox's setters were incredible throughout the Principia match as Rebeca Hernandez-Rivera and Bri Holland each had double-digit assists.

 

Maria Jabor John led the squad with 10 kills, Elle Haddon had eight, and De'Mya Robinson had six.

 

In the match, Knox had a .316 hitting percentage, including a .500 hitting percentage in the second set.

 

Madelyn Dittrich had quite the day serving as she picked up seven aces.

 

Anaya President rounded out the whole team effort in the win with 11 digs.

 

Knox won their fourth straight set of the day when they took the first against Lyon 28-26, but they dropped the next three as they went 1-1 on the day, winning four out of seven sets.

 

President continued her prolific day with 23 digs against Lyon.

 

Knox will take the week off in preparation for a tri-match at home in Memorial Gymnasium on Saturday when they take on Rockford and Principia, starting at 10 a.m.
