Theodore J. Fleming, an Illinois business leader, Trustee of Knox College and Chairman of the Knox Fieldhouse Campaign Committee, finished 19th in the nation in NCAA diving competition during his senior at Knox.  He earned four varsity letters in swimming and four in tennis, and served as captain of both teams.  Fleming received the Arvid Pierre Zetterbert Award and the Hunter Trophy—Knox College prizes that recognize academic and athletic excellence –and was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. Following his graduation with academic honors from Knox in 1955, Fleming earned a Bachelor of Science degree in 1957 at Carnegie Institute of technology.  The St. Louis native is chairman of the Board and President of Fleming Packaging Corporation of Peoria and active in civic and charitable work in the Central Illinois area.
