Box Score MACOMB, Illinois—The Prairie Fire men's basketball team dropped an exhibition contest at Division I Western Illinois University on Monday evening.
 
Knox trailed 60-15 at halftime, but the Prairie Fire kept in closer in the second half. The Leathernecks outscored Knox 39-21 in the second half to win 99-36.
 
Justin Windt scored 10 points and grabbed three rebounds for the Prairie Fire. Blake Godbold picked up four assists and Ikenna Ozor pulled down four rebounds.
 
Knox outrebounded Western Illinois on the offensive side and kept pace with a 71.4 free throw percentage. The Prairie Fire also forced 18 turnovers and picked up 10 steals.
 
Knox will officially begin their season when they host Principia on November 8.
