GALESBURG, Ill. — Knox College Volleyball Head Coach Maliah Blakemore announced the schedule for her Prairie Fire team this fall today, featuring a trio of regional tournaments and an eight-match home stand.
Of the first 16 matches, a dozen will be played over three tournaments, beginning with the Grinnell/Central Invite on Aug. 29-30 to open the season. Following mid-week matchups with Simpson and Central College, the Prairie Fire will travel to Terre Haute, Indiana, for the Rose-Hulman Invitational Sept. 5-6. The last tournament will take place at the University of Wisconsin-Superior, though Knox will not play the host Yellowjackets.
The home slate is all contained within an eight-match home stand, starting with the home opener versus Principia College on Sept. 25 and including five Midwest Conference opponents. The final four contests will also be league matches, all on the road and ending at Lake Forest College on Nov. 8.
Should Knox finish the season in the top four in the league standings, it will advance to the Midwest Conference Tournament, hosted by the regular-season champion, on Nov. 14-15.
